Crest Real Estate Supports Rebuild of Ocean Woods Terrace in Pacific Palisades Following Wildfire Loss

Crest-Supported Ocean Woods Terrace Recognized at the 2026 Gold Nugget Awards

Pacific Palisades condominium rebuild — the first proposed multifamily condominium redevelopment in the community following the Palisades Fire — earns Golden Nugget Award.

LOS ANGELES, CA — September 9, 2026 — Crest Real Estate, Los Angeles’ leading land-use advisory and permit-expediting firm, today announced that Ocean Woods Terrace, a 36-unit condominium rebuild in Pacific Palisades, has been honored at the 2026 Gold Nugget Awards. Crest served as the entitlement and permit-expediting consultant on the project, working alongside architect Kevin Tsai Architecture (KTA) and the Ocean Woods Terrace homeowners association.

Now in its 63rd year, the Gold Nugget Awards are presented by the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) and the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC), and are widely regarded as the oldest and most prestigious residential design competition in North America. This year’s honorees were selected from a field of more than 800 entries by a Blue-Ribbon panel of industry judges, and recognized at the 63rd Annual Gold Nugget Awards Gala on July 29, 2026, at the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center in Chula Vista, California.

Ocean Woods Terrace was destroyed in the January 2025 Palisades Fire. The redevelopment, designed by KTA, reimagines the property as a refined coastal condominium community while restoring housing for the 36 families displaced by the fire. It represents a significant milestone in the neighborhood’s recovery: the first proposed multifamily condominium redevelopment effort within Pacific Palisades following the disaster.

Crest’s role centered on moving a complex, multi-stakeholder rebuild through an unprecedented regulatory environment — navigating planning approvals, coordinating with the Los Angeles Housing Department, and working within the evolving EO-1 wildfire rebuild framework on behalf of an HOA rather than a single owner.

The honor adds to a period of sustained recognition for Crest, which was named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2026. The firm continues to expand its work in wildfire recovery, multifamily redevelopment, and complex permit expediting throughout Greater Los Angeles.
