Crest Real Estate Supports Opening of “The Night We Met” in Mid-Wilshire, Expanding Hospitality Project Portfolio

Crest Real Estate proudly announces its role in the successful opening of The Night We Met, a new Pan-Asian dining destination located at 788 S. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. Recently featured in Eater LA, the restaurant represents one of Mid-Wilshire’s most notable new hospitality openings, further strengthening Crest’s growing portfolio of restaurant and entertainment projects.

Developed by restaurateurs Mindy and Vinny Kinne, known for concepts like Met Her at a Bar and Her Thai, The Night We Met opened in December 2025 and brings a vibrant, romantic dining experience to the La Brea corridor. The concept blends Chinese and Thai influences into a Pan-Asian menu, complemented by a cinematic interior design, live music programming, and a nightlife-driven atmosphere.

Crest Real Estate played a critical role in bringing the project to life, managing both the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and plan approvals for alcohol sales and live entertainment, as well as overseeing tenant improvement permit expediting through to opening. These approvals are essential for hospitality operators in Los Angeles, particularly in high-demand corridors like La Brea, where zoning, use approvals, and compliance requirements can significantly impact timelines.

“The Night We Met is a great example of the type of hospitality project we specialize in—high-energy, design-forward spaces that require coordination across multiple approvals to open successfully,” said a representative from Crest Real Estate. “From CUP approvals for alcohol and entertainment to full TI permit expediting, our goal is always to streamline the process so operators can focus on delivering a standout guest experience.”

The restaurant features seating for approximately 100 guests and offers a menu of shareable dishes such as crispy tuna rice, garlic noodles, and chicken satay, alongside cocktails inspired by Asian ingredients. The space is designed to transition seamlessly from dinner service into a lively late-night environment, with DJs and live performances enhancing its appeal as a destination venue.

Crest’s involvement in The Night We Met underscores its expertise in navigating Los Angeles’ complex permitting landscape for hospitality and mixed-use projects. With increasing demand for experiential dining and entertainment-driven concepts, projects often require layered approvals—making experienced expediting and entitlement strategy critical to success.

This milestone adds to Crest Real Estate’s expanding body of completed projects across Los Angeles, particularly within the restaurant and hospitality sector. As operators continue to push the boundaries of dining and nightlife experiences, Crest remains a trusted partner in delivering projects from concept to opening.
